Reducing Underage Drinking TV Campaign Rolling Out

February 2013; Rolling out the Be Strong Be Sober campaign in the Horry CAST media and education effort to reduce underage drinking in Horry County.

Asking yourself the question “what’s the worst that can happen?” brings home the point that it can happen to you, and if you

choose to drink under the age of 21 or provide a person under the age of 21, there are serious potential consequences.

Underage drinking not only has monetary penalties, but could have long-term career effects, as wealth as health issues.

What’s the worst that can happen?

  • Prosecution
  • Court and legal fees
  • Rehabilitation programs
  • Jail time
  • Loss of driver’s license
  • Loss of job
  • Loss of Life Scholarship

Underage drinking can lead to:

  • Isolation
  • Addiction
  • Destruction
  • Depression
  • Death

Play an active role in Horry County’s future generation.

Help us reduce the number of underage drinking in our homes, schools, and community.

We welcome your participation.
